How to Apply to BC Academy

Step-by-Step Application Process

Thank you for considering BC Academy for your child’s education. We recognise that selecting the right school is a pivotal decision for every family, and we are honoured by your trust. Our admissions process ensures compliance with KHDA guidelines while providing a seamless experience for families.

Before starting, please refer to our Admissions Guidelines and Overview, which includes year/grade equivalency information to ensure accurate placement based on your child’s previous schooling.

STEP 1 – Submit an Online Application

Begin your application by completing the [Online Application Form] and submitting the non-refundable application fee of AED 525 (inclusive of VAT) per child.

Please note:

  • This fee is non-refundable if a place is offered and not accepted.
  • The fee is not deductible from annual tuition fees.

STEP 2 – Upload Required Documentation

Upload the following documents via the online application portal. All documents must be in English or accompanied by a certified legal translation:

Initial Registration Documents (Required for All Applicants):

  • Student’s passport copy

  • Parent’s passport copy

  • School reports from the last two academic years (or Nursery report for Early Childhood applicants)

  • BC Academy Confidential Recommendation Form (Years 2–13 applicants)

  • Early Years Confidential Recommendation Form (Nursery applicants)

  • Early Childhood Parent Survey (Nursery–FS2 applicants)

  • Language Background Questionnaire (All applicants)

  • High/Upper School Student Questionnaire (Year 10–13 applicants only)

  • Copies of any learning support documentation (e.g., IEPs, educational psychologist reports), if applicable

Post-Enrolment Documents (Submitted Uplon Acceptance):

  • Student’s Emirates ID (copy)

  • Parent’s Emirates ID (copy)

  • Immunisation record/card

  • Transfer certificate from the previous school (in accordance with KHDA regulations)

STEP 3 – Placement Assessement

Following document submission, the Admissions Team will schedule an onsite assessment.

📍 If the student is overseas, the application may be reviewed by the Principal based on submitted records, and a provisional acceptance may be issued. The assessment will still be required upon arrival for final placement and teacher allocation.

STEP 4 – Application Review

Once the assessment and documentation are complete, the full application is reviewed by the Principal, with a decision typically provided within 24 hours.

STEP 5 – Application Review

The Admissions Team will contact you regarding your child’s admission status.

Possible outcomes include:

Full Acceptance – Based on academic records and assessment results

🟡 Provisional Acceptance – Based on submitted records; assessment to follow

📌 Registration Deposit:

If an offer is accepted, a non-refundable registration deposit of 10% of the annual tuition fee is payable. This amount is deductible from the total tuition fee for the academic year.
